5 Simple and Affordable Holiday Photo Gifts

With all the weirdness of 2020, it's crazy to even think it's time to start shopping for the holidays. And even though some of my neighbors will leave their Halloween decor out for another month, it is definitely prime Christmas shopping season. Are you ready?😅

Let me start by saying, I've been a photo gift girl since I was in high school. People love personal gifts, it's a fact. When when I got married, I knew parents and relatives would love to have printed versions of the family photos they were just in a few months back. Then I add a toddler to the mix, and the grandparents go wild for photo gifts.

So in this post, I'm going to share some of my favorite photo gift ideas so you can easily check some items off your list. This post is in no way sponsored, although I would freaking love it if it was. I purchase these gifts every year and they've been real champions in the gift-giving game.

5. Photo Wall Calendar

I've been making calendars for both sets of parents for at least four years now. Even before children, I thought it was a special way to remind them of us throughout the year when we can't always be near. Including pictures of us together was always a nice personal touch. My mom especially loves that I add all the birthdays in her calendar so she doesn't have to worry about forgetting anyone. I alternate between Shutterfly and Vistaprint for this gift. It depends who has a better deal and free shipping!

4.Photo Coffee Mug

This item you can get from a few places, and you might think it's tacky....but there are some trendy design options for these mugs. I gave one of these to a friend when she got married six years ago and was shocked to learn she is still using it today. Though I have to admit, this is usually best received by grandparents and parents. 😉

3. Canvas Photo Art

This is pretty self explanatory, but sometimes when you put an image on a canvas it gives it so much more value. I have to be pretty selective about who I gift this too because I don't want to be known for cluttering people's walls for years to come. But for friends who recently tied the knot, or welcomed a new family member- it's the perfect gift to tell them you love them! They come in so many sizes, so you don't have to worry about giving them some monstrosity that they will have to move furniture to hang. My BFF Georgia used to put her 11X14 wedding canvas on her piano....come to think of it, maybe she just pulled that out because I was visiting...😳

2. Glass Photo Ornament

I started gifting this item a couple years ago and it has quickly become a tradition and a favorite. Shutterfly is constantly running sales in the months leading up to Christmas, so you can easy get this custom glass ornament for under $20.

And finally, the gift I wish everyone would get me....

1. Smallwoods Framed Photo Canvas

These framed canvases have quickly become a favorite in our home and I can't wait to order some this year for family. They're a little pricier than a classic canvas but they have a more finished look. You can customize your photo, the frame color, and size all on their website. And shipping is usually pretty quick.

BONUS ITEM:

I also super love gifting relatives small photo books. We take so many photos on our phones that never see the light of day, so it's such a treat to get them printed and bound in a book.

Props to you if you made it through the list. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook. I post new blogs each week! :)
