Lifestyle Newborn Session Colorado Springs

My all time favorite type of session is an at-home lifestyle newborn session. They're casual, comfortable, and the most authentic. But I have to admit...this one is a little different. It's my own. Even as a photographer, I forget how precious these moments are. I forget how quickly these moments will flee and how soon they will become magical memories. My sweet baby boy is already in his third month and the time is fleeing as fast as everyone says it does. His sister is learning new witty word combinations each day. She is also amazing us with her patience and kindness towards her brother. We heard horror stories of how challenging it could be to bring a new sibling into the family. We read about strategies to help make the process a little easier. Buy a gift for big sis and say it's from little bro. Make sure you spend individual time with big sis so she doesn't feel the need to act out. And we definitely took those ideas into account...but the organic love this girl has for her brother has absolutely nothing to do with anything we did as parents. Amelia was simply made to be a big sister. She takes the gig seriously and we love to see it.

So each time my iPhone storage is full, I know I'm doing a great job preserving the memories. I know there will be days when these kids will fight like cats and dogs. I need to have the proof that they were best friends from the very beginning. 😉💙
