Pass-A-Grille Beach Florida Family Session

When I was asked to do family photos at the Pass-a-Grille Beach...I was elated. My photography journey started in the mountains of Colorado, but my home will always be Florida. I have a love for beachy blues and sandy neutrals and have had so much fun photographing my own little family on the beach this summer.

When I arrived at the beach an hour before the session, I was a tad horrified. Hundreds of cars lined the streets and I wondered if this was the biggest mistake of my short photography career. 😅 My original game plan was to park as far away from other cars as humanly possible; hoping that meant there were less people in that section of the beach.

However, I had to settle with parking in one of the only parking spots I could find. I got out of the car, paid for parking, and started unpacking my gear and prop. This is when I found my assistant father standing barefoot in the street. Apparently in the hustle and bustle of sneaking out of the house (without alerting my needy baby girl), he forgot to grab his beach Crocs. Suuuuper professional, Dad.

So despite the flocks of people lining the beach, we were able to claim our own spot in the sand and have an amazing evening capturing memories that will last a lifetime. The sun started off bright and loud, then dissipated into the most gorgeous, hazy, beachy glimmer.✨

As I edited this session, I couldn't help but feel the warmth between a mom and her preteen daughter; the sisterly bond between adult sisters, goofing off on the beach; the sheer obsession of a tiny baby boy from his mama; and the overall love of family!

No family is perfect, but its the in between moments that remind us what life is all about. ❤️

In conclusion, I give this fam a 10/10 for photogenic laughs and an overall good time.

Be sure to check out last week's blog to see a grown woman matching a 22 month old and thinking she actually was cute enough to pull it off.
